Call for applications is now open for the 24th edition of the International Flaiano Award for Italian Studies – Luca Attanasio.

Established in 2002 and dedicated, since 2021, to Ambassador Luca Attanasio, the Flaiano International Prize for Italian Studies reaches its twenty-fourth edition, with the confirmation once again of the “Young Scholars – Under 35” category. Promoted and organised within the framework of the Flaiano International Prizes by the Ennio Flaiano Cultural Association and the Edoardo Tiboni Foundation, the Prize has progressively gained prominence as a significant platform for the recognition and promotion of works in the field of Italian studies.

The Prize enjoys the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, while also benefiting from the collaboration of the Network of Italian Cultural Institutes (IIC), both in enhancing the initiative’s visibility and in identifying the most meritorious works. The Prize Jury, composed of esteemed experts in the field, will assess the submissions put forward by the Directors of the IICs, each of whom may nominate up to three works published between April 1st 2024 and April 15th 2025 in their respective countries of reference.

The applications, accompanied by two copies of the proposed work, sent also in PDF format to iicbeirut@esteri.it, should be delivered by interested parties to the Italian Cultural Institute in Lebanon (c/o Italian Embassy – Presidential Palace Street, Baabda) within April 30th 2025.

The award ceremony will take place in Pescara on 28 June 2025.
