“IN OUR HANDS” | CABRIOLET FILM FESTIVAL

In our hand 2

In 1983, a Lieutenant in command at an early warning base receives an alarm from the satellite defense system. Five nuclear warheads are directed towards his territory. The attack is unexpected, but the data appears reliable. The protocol is clear: should he initiate a deadly retaliation? Based on a true story.

Director’s Biography – Camillo Sancisi

Camillo Sancisi was born in Milan, Italy, in 1996. After graduating from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in live-action directing, he taught himself stop-motion animation and started creating small loops, short films and commissioned videos.

He is currently reading this bio for the seventh time, looking for grammatical mistakes and wondering why bios are written in the third person, considering that most of the time they are written by the subject themselves.

Director Statement

“In Our Hands” is a short film about the fragility of life. The unbelievable true story of Stanislav Petrov teaches us that we possess the ability to create unimaginable wonders and horrors. However, we are merely delicate beings in the face of the vast emptiness just beyond our reach. I find this concept fascinating, and I believe it holds great relevance in today’s world.
