The Italian Cultural Institute in Beirut organises an exclusive event dedicated to exploring one of the most esteemed educational philosophies of our time, a conference titled The Reggio Emilia Approach to Education: Experiences in Dialogue, held by the Italian speakers Emanuela Vercalli and Sara De Poi.  The event will be held on March 14th, 2025 in Sursock Museum Auditorium at 10:00 am.

This approach, developed within the infant-toddler centres and preschools of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia, has at its heart a profound respect for the child as an active constructor of knowledge, creativity, and relationships, and places him at the centre of his own learning journey, fostering curiosity, inquiry, and collaborative discovery. This special occasion will provide a unique opportunity for dialogue with Reggio Children S.r.l., the International Centre for the Protection and Promotion of the Rights and Potentials of All Children. The event will illuminate the latest developments, insights, and methodologies of the Reggio Emilia Approach, offering invaluable perspectives for early childhood education.

The conference comes within the framework of the photographic exhibition SHAMS / شمس  organized by the Italian Embassy and the AICS-Italian Agency for International Cooperation. The exhibition is a journey through the images captured by the Italian photojournalist Marco Palombi in the schools that benefit from AICS interventions.
