Once again this year, the Italian Cultural Institute of Beirut is delighted to take part in one of the most eagerly awaited and esteemed cultural events on the Lebanese national scene, reaffirming its commitment to promoting high-quality Italian cinema.
As part of the Cabriolet Festival, whose theme this year is “Disobey”, the selected Italian short films will offer an original and genuine perspective on contemporary issues, identity, and personal freedom, presenting visions that blend creativity, critical thinking, and social awareness, while fostering dialogue among cultures, languages, and generations.
The theme of non-conformity comes to life through stories that, in diverse cinematic languages, explore the courage to be oneself, to take less travelled paths, and to remain true to one’s vision.
We warmly invite you to discover the short films scheduled for 6, 7, and 8 June 2025.
For every story that dares to speak a truth deserves to be heard.
