WINNERS OF THE COMPETITION “ITALIAN BETWEEN WORD AND IMAGE: GRAFFITI, ILLUSTRATIONS, COMICS”

On June 22, 2021, a ceremony was held at the Language and Translation Center of the Lebanese University-Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences, New Rawdah branch, to award the winners of the competition “Italian between words and images: graffiti, illustrations and comics “, launched last December to celebrate the XX Week of the Italian Language in the World.

Seven students of the “Bachelor” and “Master” courses, majoring in Italian Language, participated in the competition, successfully venturing into the creation of original, imaginative and fun comics.

First placed, Habib Bou Doumit, student of the Master 2 CI in Italian-Lebanese Studies, with the comic “L’Ombra del Peccato” [The shadow of sin], followed by Karen Merhi, a second year Italian LVA student, with her comic “Non te la farò passare” [You won’t get away with it], Bianca Tahtouh and Christiane Saada, students of the Master 1 CI in Italian-Lebanese Studies, with their comic “Crisca and finally Karen Kaissar, Yara Huisini, Taline Aboumoussa, the three of them second year Italian LVA students, with “Una missione pericolosa” [A dangerous mission].

The winners were awarded with books (novels, tourist guides, Italian cookery books, educational books) selected according to their interests, donated by the Italian Cultural Institute and handed to them by its director, Monica Zecca.
