NAPOLI TEATRO FESTIVAL ITALIA – “Ho ucciso i Beatles” [I killed the Beatles]

Sunday, July 5, 2020 – 9 pm (Italian time)
Salerno, Duomo

The concert, subtitled in English, is available in Live-Streaming on Ecosistema digitale per la cultura della Regione Campania

A single act for singer, actor and string quartet, by Stefano Valanzuolo with Sarah Jane Morris and the Solis String Quartet with Paolo Cresta (reciting voice), stage project and direction Pierluigi Iorio, music by the Beatles transcribed and arranged by Antonio Di Francia, production International Music Arts.

If someone had asked Mark David Chapman who were the Beatles, he could have talked for hours and perhaps ended up comparing John to Young Holden. When he was arrested, he still had Salinger's book in his hands. Not far away, Lennon's body. With five gunshots, the ex-big boy from Honolulu had broken John's life, the Beatles' dream and that of millions of fans. Chapman relives, in a flashback hallucinated and punctuated by music, his story with the most famous band of all time.

The concert is available in live streaming as part of the "Estate all’Italiana Festival" initiative - a suggestive tour of the main Italian festivals that project themselves worldwide with some of the shows on their 2020 program – organized thanks to the collaboration between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and of International Cooperation and the ItaliaFestival Association. The initiative will grant to the international public the free access for over two months to a program of very high quality shows, available as an online streaming and as video on demand.
