The Italian Cultural Institute in Lebanon and the Metropolis Association, in partnership with the Venice Biennale is pleased to present the second edition of the Venice Cinema Beirut 2015. The event will take place at Cinema Metropolis from the 8th to the 13th of May 2015 and presents a selection of recent Italian films that were screened at the 71st edition of the Venice Biennale. The program also includes the restored version of a classic Italian film, A Special Day, winner of the 1978 Golden Globe as Best Foreign Language Film and nominated for the Oscars in 1978 for Best Actor and Best Foreign Film. In 2014, he won the Lion for the category of Best Restored Classic Film at the Venice International Film Festival.
