FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE 2017 – Concerts of the Fabio Giachino Jazz Trio

The Italian Cultural Institute participates in the 2017 edition of the Fête de la Musique with three Jazz concerts of the Fabio Giachino Trio (Fabio Giachino: piano, Davide Liberti: double bass, Ruben Bellavia: drums)
The group, born in 2011, has recorded three albums: “BLAZAR” 2015, “Jumble UP” 2014 (Abeat records) and “Introducing Myself” featuring Rosario Giuliani 2012 (Musicamdo). The latter were both included in the “100 Greatest Jazz Albums” respectively in 2012 and 2014 according to the magazine JazzIT. The Trio was also among the top 10 Italian groups according to the popular referendum “JazzIT Awards” 2014 and 2013.
In 2015 the Trio officially represented the city of Turin in Brussels and in Barcelona in honor of the Expo-TO.
The band’s music carries different aspects and influences: its matrix is well rooted in jazz tradition, but frequently shows contaminations and rhythmic/harmonic experimentation.
