Starting from the school year 2000/2001, Lebanese public schools started teaching the Italian language as a second foreign language (Project L2S). In 2006 our language is taught to 1600 youngsters in 18 state schools spread all over the Lebanese territory. In few years Italian language became the third language of the country of cedars.
