WORLD MUSIC DAY 2021 – MEZZOTONO’S CONCERT IN BEIRUT AND ISTANBUL

The Italian Cultural Institutes of Beirut and Istanbul have joined forces to celebrate with the Mezzotono – an Italian vocal group that perfectly mixes humor and a cappella music – the most original Music Festival 2021.

Monday, June 21st, 2021 at 8 pm, the Mezzotono will offer a live musical show on a different note, a never heard before concert made exclusively for the two Cultural Institutes that produced it, in an extraordinary place such as the Caves of Castellana, an Italian wonder of the Apulian territory included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The concert is broadcast simultaneously on the Facebook and YouTube pages of both the Italian Cultural Institutes of Beirut and Istanbul, as well as those of Mezzotono and Caves of Castellana, thus allowing the Lebanese, Turkish and Italian public viewing but potentially to that of the whole world.

The repertoire is performed without musical instruments. Only 5 voices that imitate the sound of music instruments and – in a continuous game of gags and jokes – capture the attention of the public up to the last note of the concert.

Mezzotono: Marco Di Nunno, Fabio Lepore, Daniela Desideri, Tanya Pugliese, Andrea Maurelli
