The Italian Cultural Institute in Lebanon and the Liban Jazz Association present a concert by Maestro Dino Rubino (piano) - nicknamed the "magical pianist of Sicily" - alongside two of the best musicians of our time, Stefano Brushman Bagnoli (percussion) and Marco Bardoscia (double bass). The Trio chose Beirut for the first public performance of their new album.
Dino Rubino, born in 1980 in Biancavilla, in the province of Catania, is an absolute talent of the Italian jazz scene. Fascinated since his early age by the changing and enthralling sounds of jazz, he showed great skills in the study of piano and trumpet. He quickly began to have a great success, by getting the award of Best Emerging National Talent at the Massimo Urbani Prize in 1998. By then, Dino already had prestigious collaborations with artists such as Bob Mintzer, Paolo Fresu, Adam Nussbaum, Salvatore Bonafede, and many others.
Over the years he has played in many national and international festivals: Canarias Jazz, Umbria Jazz, Rome Music Auditorium, Santiago Jazz EU, Marciac Jazz Festival, Shangai Italian Expo, Portugal Loulè Jazz Festival, MITO jazz Festival, Umbria Jazz Balkanic Windows, Skopie Jazz Festival, and numerous other institutions. Currently, he is also a jazz ambassador to the world.
