Thierry Thomas, the director of this 2006 documentary, follows the order of the poem, in the footsteps of Dante and Virgil, and describes the fantastic universe of Hell, circle after circle, until the ninth and last; while Jacqueline Risset, translator of The Divine Comedy into French, delivers her invaluable comments, alongside a dozen historians and scholars who provide essential keys to understanding this work.
