With the patronage of the Basilicata Region, the Dante Alighieri Society and the Energheia cultural association of Matera organize the Energheia Lebanon literary competition, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Beirut.
Authors can participate with an unpublished short story, on a free topic, in Italian, English or French, with a maximum of seven pages, each containing no more than 25 lines. A reading committee, chosen by the promoters of the prize, will evaluate the received stories in order to submit five of them to the prize jury, which will in turn designate the winning story from among the five finalists.
Authors can also participate in the Comics Section with an unpublished comic story, on a free topic, in Italian, English or French, with a maximum of 10 comic pages in black and white or in color, using any manual technique. A committee of experts, chosen by the promoters of the prize, will evaluate the comics received and submit three of them to the jury. The jury will designate the winner from among the three finalists.
All young authors from the age of 18 can compete for the Energheia Lebanon prize.
The stories and comics must be received according to the procedures described in point 2 of the prize regulations by July 25th, 2021. The prize jury will designate the winners who will be awarded, compatibly with the evolution of the health situation, a plane ticket and a stay of three days in Matera to participate in the awards ceremony on September 2021.
