Following the current COVID-19 emergency, the CIDIM - Italian National Music Committee promotes, on its Youtube channel, the Rode Project, conceived by the violinist Davide Alogna and aimed at students of the Conservatories and Music Academies that had to close because of the pandemic.
To contribute to their training and above all to encourage and involve them, Alogna asked 23 of his illustrious colleagues to register one of the 24 Capricci op. 22 by Pierre Rode, an important and mandatory task in the growth path of every young violinist.
The 24 magnificent Italian violinists who joined the project, promoted by CIDIM and by the music magazine Suonare News, are: Davide Alogna, Emmanuele Baldini, Alessio Bidoli, Alberto Bologni, Daniela Cammarano, Gennaro Cardaropoli, Gabriele Ceci, Fabrizio Falasca, Marco Fiorini, Giuseppe Gibboni, Federico Guglielmo, Michelangelo Lentini, Enzo Ligresti, Fulvio Liviabella, Salvatore Lombardo, Francesco Manara, Luca Marzolla, Liù Pelliciari, Germana Porcu, Salvatore Quaranta, Luca Santaniello, Giacomo Scarponi, Anna Tifu, Edoardo Zosi. They are violin teachers in music conservatories, first parts in great Italian and international symphony orchestras, chamber musicians, soloists, in a nutshell the best of the Italian violin school!

The project is divided into 4 parts, each containing 6 caprices for a duration of 18 minutes circa. Each video, enriched by a synthetic presentation sheet in Italian and English, allows the user who wishes so to select each of the 6 caprices in any of the parts or move through all the four parts.
